For the UAE, tourism is one of the primary sources of revenue. The country is on track to change its economy from oil-based to tourism-based. Here are some amazing upcoming tourism projects in the UAE that will wow you!

1. Sheikh Zayed National Museum

Valued at 1 billion USD, the project will be a tribute to Sheikh Zayed, the founding father of the United Arab Emirates. Surrounded by water and well-landscaped gardens, the stunning museum will have seven permanent displays that will portray the rich culture and history of the UAE. It is set to be completed by 2020.

2. Mall of the World

One of the boldest visions ever, the project is not just going to be the biggest mall the world has ever seen but also an air-conditioned city spanning across an area of 4,500,000 square metres! When completed, the mall will is expected to have about 180 million visitors every year! It will have the largest indoor game park, over 20,000 hotel rooms, and a lot more.

3. IMG Worlds of Legends

An exciting themed indoor park that is set to open in 2020, IMG Worlds of Legends is to be constructed over two million square feet. This is the second IMG park that will be connected to the first one with a sky bridge. The theme park will have nine zones with attractions from famous brands like Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Pokemon, and more – all in one place!

4. Marsa Al Arab

Located next to the famous Burj Al Arab, the Marsa Al Arab will have two whole new islands – one private and one for a family resort – that will have a boutique hotel, a marina, luxury apartments, a marine park, a theatre, restaurants, shopping outlets and a lot more. The total area of both the islands will be over 4,500,000 square feet!

5. Aladdin City

The Genie and Jasmine, from the famous fable Aladdin, are set to come alive at Aladdin City that will be built near the Burj Khalifa with an area of 150,000 square metres. The city will have three towers designed like Aladdin’s magic lamp with 33, 35, and 24 stories each. These towers will be inter-connected through skyways. This project is currently under construction.
