Another supertall tower will soon take its place in Dubai’s growing list of record-breaking landmarks.

The 75-storey tower in the Downtown Dubai District, which will have 254 hotel rooms, 371 flats, and 321 hotel apartments, and will be one of the tallest hotels and residences in the region, is almost 60% complete.

At the top of the tower will be two infinity pools, the highest, globally, which will offer 360-degree panoramic views of Dubai’s Skyline, including the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

New York-based hospitality firm sbe released the project details and construction updates this week, adding that the tower would be launched in the third quarter of 2020.

sbe and World of Wonders Real Estate have partnered together to develop the property and have branded it as SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences.

Dubai’s skyline is a veritable kaleidoscope of iconic buildings, including the world’s tallest hotel, and for now, the world’s tallest tower. The Dubai Creek Tower, which is still under construction, is expected to be taller than the Burj Khalifa.

The Princess Tower, 23 Marina, Elite Residence, Marina Torch, HHHR Tower, and Ocean Heights are among the seven out of ten tallest residential towers currently listed on Wikipedia. Surprise, surprise, they are all located in Dubai.

The upcoming tower will have more floors than some of the currently listed structures and will be a combination of hotel and residential units.

Besides its first Middle East property, sbe has plans for 25 additional locations, including Washington DC, Buenos Aires, and Cancun.

Sam Nazarian, founder and CEO of sbe said, “We couldn’t be more proud to bring one of our signature brands to one of the world’s luxury capitals”.

“Dubai is not only the Middle East’s biggest tourism and business hub, but it is also the epicenter for all things luxury and we are extremely excited to be there”.

The new project will bring a whole new concept of luxury living and boutique hospitality to Dubai, according to Mehmet Nazif Gunal, founder and chairman of World of Wonders Real Estate Development.

“The UAE will soon witness the next level of an uber-modern and hyper-cool lifestyle destination,” he added.
