Situated between Sheikh Zayed Road and Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Al Furjan is a community made up of a shared network of pathways and amenities. A community that is perfect for families, it will have 40km cycle track and currently houses 4000 apartments, houses, hotels, and commercial spaces, with even more to be launched in 2020. It is noteworthy here that Al Furjan is part of Expo 2020. This neighborhood has 2 community centers; Al Furjan Pavilion, and Al Furjan West Pavilion. It has a wide range of amenities like sports courts, restaurants, cafes, and swimming pools, in addition to retail outlets. Rental options in the community range in 3, 4, 5, and 6-bedroom villas and start at 100k per year. There are also studios (starting rental price: 30k) and 1, and 2-bedroom apartments ranging in rent from 60k and up to 124k annually.
As it stands, there is no viable public transport access for the residents. There are 2 metro stations but both are a short drive away.
In Al Furjan Pavilion there is a Spinneys Supermarket in addition to smaller markets like W Fresh and West Zone.
Worshippers will find Al Furjan West Mosque located next to Al Furjan West Pavilion and nearby there is Masjid Abdullah Ali Al-Chaafar in Discovery Gardens. Christians will find St. Gregorios Orthodox Church nearby in Jebel Ali Village. There are currently no temples in Al Furjan, but the Gurunanak Darbar Sikh Gurudwara is only 13 minutes away.
For education, there are several options. The Arbor School which opened its doors in Sept. 2018 is actually the first sustainable school in the UAE, with annual fees starting at 56k. There is also the Jebel Ali Village Nursery located in Al Furjan South.
The nearest hospital is NMC Royal Hospital which is located in Dubai Investment Park.
Al Furjan offers many options when it comes to fun and recreation. Discovery Gardens is a mall known for its unique architecture and is the world’s largest themed shopping mall. There is also Ibn Battuta which has more than 420 shops, 50 restaurants, and a 21-screen cinema. The foodies will be pleased to find many places to cater to their taste like Oregano, Which Wich, and Al Arrab. There are also beaches nearby in Dubai Marina, only about 20 minutes away by car. Other fun options include Switch Bowling in Ibn Battuta, paddle boarding at the JA Jebel Ali Beach Hotel, and the many landscaped playgrounds spread out across the neighborhood.
