Along the shores of Ajman is the community of Ajman Corniche, also known as Corniche Ajman. This is a neighborhood that offers luxurious waterfront living in mid to high-rise buildings. Here, one will find some of the most lavish apartments in Ajman. Like most of the UAE, the community is very diverse. The overall atmosphere is vibrant and one will not feel secluded. There are plenty of places to go, all within walking distance from the area, such as restaurants, spas, gyms, schools, and malls.
If you use public transportation, you will find a few bus stops located along the main road. These service the community and connect the area to major hotspots in Ajman.
There are several supermarkets in and around Ajman Corniche. Popular options include Viva Supermarket, Spinneys Supermarket, and Al Nakheel.
There are no churches in Ajman at the moment. The nearest church is in the Yarmook neighborhood, 16 minutes away. There are no Hindu Temples in Ajman as well so Hindus have to travel to Dubai, about 33 minutes away. Moving on, there are numerous mosques in and around the area. The closest mosque is Al Remeila Mosque.
There aren’t any schools in the community but there are a few that are not too far off. For instance, one of the most popular choices in this regard is the Al Saad Indian School. It is a small school and it follows the Indian curriculum.
There are several clinics surrounding Ajman Corniche, but the closest one is Thumbay Clinic, located near the Honda Showroom on Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Street. The closest hospital is Amina Hospital which is found on Al Quds St. This is a private hospital and it has emergency services and general practitioners available around the clock.
At the moment, there are no shopping malls in the community. One of Ajman’s most popular malls, Safeer Mall, is near Ajman Corniche, just 8 minutes away. It covers a surface area of 220,000 sq. ft. and has four anchor stores in addition to a hypermarket, a food court, and an entertainment center. Two public beaches are available for the inhabitants to enjoy and both of are situated right on Corniche Road. These are Beach Zora and Ajman Beach. Beach Zora is across Ajman Harbor. This is a relatively calm beach but it is also a great place for fishing, kayaking, and even camping. Ajman Beach is full of activities and has dedicated lifeguards patrolling the beach for the safety of everyone there. Sometimes one can catch people enjoying various water sport activities such as jet skiing and wakeboarding. Transportation is one important factor to consider when moving to Ajman. If your plan is to live and work here, then public transportation will be. However, if you have to commute to other emirates for work, then it’s not recommended to depend on public transport options.
